BRITAIN NOT YET READY FOR STABILISATION (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Nov. 18. In the House of Commons, at question time, Air Neville Chamberlain stated that there were a number ’of important eonditipns, some not subject to the Government’s control, which must be satisfied before the stabilisation of the sterling, in terms of gold, could lie contemplated. The Government s imp mediate objective was to balance the budget, rectify the adverse trade balance, and 'maintain the internal purchasing jiowcr of the pound.
