Starting on December 1, the management will offer two handsome prizes, 10 guineas in cash to the gentleman .ivho. does the 18 holes in the Jeast number of stroke,s, and-10 guineas to the lady who does likewise. 'These prizes' will he paid in cash. Each competitor for the competition will be accompanied by an official attendant of the links, and’a special score card will be' duly signed by the player. Competitors .may have as many attempts as they desire and at the end of the month the 20 com- ; petitors who have made the lowest scores in each class will play off in pairs. Special hours aro nominated for competitors. iTliey are between 12 and 2 o’clock and between 5 and 7 o’clock. Remember Mr. and Aliss Beginper you do not .have to be a golfer to excel in this game—no qualification is necessary except enthusiasm, and your very first round on the links might be a record.
