On Tuesday evening a jolly party, organised by Misses Janet Graham and Jean Marshall, visited tho. home ol Airs. At. F. Duels, at Ormond. The night was unfortunately bitterly cohhand wet. but indoors all was radiance and gaiety, a delightful contrast to the wintry weather. Huge fires in the various sittingrooms shed a soft glow against a background .of autumn foliage and shaded chrysanthemums, exquisite in their rich tints.

The glass doors between the breakfast room and drawingroom were thrown open, making an ideal ballroom. most artistically and colorfully decorated in autumn tones.

Supper was served in the diningroom, scarlet salvias and palms adding a brilliant touch of color to the charmingly arranged tables.

Ihe time passed all too soon dancing to delightfully gay music supplied bv Airs. Thompson’s orchestra, much eiijoved extras being p’ayed b> Aliss K. Siicrriff and T. Alntihews. The hostess, who was charmingly assisted in the entertainment of her guests bv her sons, was wearing a black georgette frock ornamented with silver embroideries, and a silver wrap. Aliss J. Dods was attractively trucked m pale’pink crope-dc-ehine-with a. plain bodice and full scalloped sktrt. a sash with long ends addlin'- a pretty finish. AFss J.
