Owing to the acceptors in the Jervui.s Handicap, to be decided at Ellerslie next Saturday, exceeding the safety number at the mile post, the held has had to be divided, and the stake has been ’ increased from £4OO to £OSO, £325 being allotted for each, division. The winner of each division will receive £250, the second horse £50,. and the third £25.
