NEW PLYMOUTH, May 27. The premises of Messrs. C. C. Wftrd, Ltd.,. drapers, wore entered dn^ Friday _ night add just over £3OO stolen. Next hniniihg the strong rooni door find sale were foil lid' open, and tile dish Ooiiteiits InisSijlg. There was nothing to Indicate how the budding was entered. It is thought that e’ever burglars June oeen at work. Notes and coins were taken, but all cheques were left. Two cash registers were rilled without damage to the mechanism, showing that the thieves know, or discovered, tiie combinations of the locks. it is now revealed l hat a Hawera establishment was recently robbed of 'goods and £1)0'.
