It is never publicly .shown, hut as a..friend ot tlie A\ilklnson family I have taken people to sec it from time to time. Cromwell’s hair never turned white, llie brown chestnut hair is still seen and tlie growth on the beard, as toi the last- few months he went in Liar ot his life and refused to ho shaved. “Ml the documents about this relic are with the head, and some time next year I am hoping to he allowed to arrange for a lecture on the subject, when they will he read in Hdl and pictures ol the head shown. Ihe head fell down from Wesim lister Hall twenty-five years after it had been there, and was taken home by a sentinel. It slidNvs tlie iron spike on which it had heen put, as it broke off below the head. It- shows alsotwo cuts where it 7 was hacked off at Tyburn, which fits in with the historical accounts of the- time.”
