' At the wool sales 8,728 bales were sold, of which', 3,793 /were Australian and 3,506 New Zealand. There! was anexcellent. , selection ,of merinos suitable, for all sections ;,a good offering of slipes and scoured crosstkeds, hut few greasies. -Animated competition prevailed 'from all , sections, there being practically, no ■withdrawalsPrices were fully maintained.
