MAJESTIC THEATRE

‘REJUVENATION OF AUNT MARY.”

“13 WASHINGTON SQUARE:

Two meritorious features are to lie presented at the Majestic to-day, both ,at the. matinee, and again tonight, “Tlie Rejuvenation of Aunt Mary,” and “13 Washington Square” are the attractions and both should prove highly popular with patrons. The uproarious comedy. “The Rejuvenation of Aunt Mary”, tells of iin old lady who fondly believes her favorite, nephew is a doctor, whereas he is really a racing motor driver. Tho trouble starts when Aunt Mary decides to visit him. Friends are compelled to “double” for patients. Jack and his closest- pal, Mel, are forced, to divide their time between 'their .workshop and the hospital, and manage to outwit Auntie. Nevertheless, her suspicions gradually assert themselves, and Mel is mustered, in as a patient with a severe case of appendicitis. And Jack must perform the operation! His knowledge of surgery being limited, this venture nearly proves a calamity. In the meantime complications ensue in regard to the-coming motor race, the results being highly humorous. Jean Hersholt portrays a suave, mild mannered, oil-painting thief in “13 Washington Square,” the Universal mystery-comedy, and the story tolls-of a society woman who, suspecting her son Jack will elope, waits for him at 13 Washington Square. The picture thief Pyecroft appears first intending to rob the house. He locks the women up and them Jack and his fiancee, when they show up later. Pyecroft helps Airs De Peyster frustrate the marriage and she permits him to escape after she has. been released by her maid. But- before everything is straightened out all sorts of mysterious happenings in the old haunted house give the audience thrills and laughs. In addition a programme of first-class supports. Box plan at Tattersall and Bayly’s.
