BLAZE IN HAAIILTON
ONE SHOP DESTROYED, OTHERS
DAMAGKD. 'Press Association.' HAMILTON, Nov. 22. ./V lire in the main street at 2 a.m. to-day destroyed a fancy goods‘shop owned by H. H. Howden. 'and tho stock, belonging to 0. M. Monk. The adjoining shops in Howden s bfoeWwerd damaged. Tho stock of the Alaska 'Fur Depot was damaged by smoko and water. The total loss on air the stocks in the buildings,is estimated at £2OOO. Howden’s block was insured for £B*so in the South British office, and Monk’s stock for £750 in tho London and Lancashire office. Tho insurance on the Fur Depot’s stock is not available.
