Stock exchange sales again totalled around 5.000,000 dollars, tut tho record, was not broken. The tickets were only half an hour behind today, and* trading-was more orderly. United States Steel was the leader on the up side, with a new high point of IGS. which did much to steady the entire list. Many good advances were made, especially in copper.
RATES OP EXCHANGE ON LONDON. <Uress Association.! WELLINGTON. Nov. 14. The chairman of the- Associated Banks announced in Wellington today that from November 15 buying rates of exchange on London will be icreased by £ per cent', all round, and the selling rates reduced £ per cent, all round. UNSATISFACTORY SHIPMENT OF AUSTRALIAN ORANGES. (Australian Presa Assn.; LONDON, Nov. 15. The Esperance Bay’s oranges are being discharged in an unsatisfactory condition, a considerable proportion leing wasty and mouldy.
