The 'Currency and Bank Notes Act 1028, vesting in tho Bank of England. the sole right to issue, legal tender- notes •in -Great Britain is to come into operation on November 22. This. is preliminary to the issue of •Cl and 10s notes by the hank to.replace £285,000,000 worth of Treasury notes now in circulation.
