Vronsky, tho R usisinn Inver, and Miss Garbo as the tragic Anna, lias a role that one might well imagine written specially for her. The story is a tense human interest tale—the story of a greatlove that sacrifices all, and—that is dogged by sinister fate and dramatic tragedy. This story is set in gorgeous surroundings; the, pomp arid circumstances ot the Russian aristocracy before the revolution, when Russia’s eouit was the gayest in tho whole world. Edmund Colliding, dramatist and screen director, scored, a distinct triumph in his direction of the Russian masterpiece, and tho cast is wcllnight perfect. Little Philippe De Lacy plays tho heroine’s son in a well-balanced performance. Court functions,, military manoeuvres, the snow secnes. and other brilliant detail emltellish the huge production, one of the most lavish screen plays the present season has seen. ,
