After a night flight, the Graf Zeppelin landed at Staaken aerodrome, where, many war-time Zeppelins were built. Impatient crowds burst through the fencing and swarmed the ground. Tho police bad to use knuckle-dusters to restore order. Hundreds of thousands rapturously welcomed tho crew, who drove in triumph to Marshal, von Hindenberg's palace. Speaking in tho name of the entire nation, the President said they had oecompanied what in the best sense was a national deed.
Replying, Captain Eckenor repeated the grave dangers of tho return journey, which showed that there was still much to be desired, but now the defects wero known and would bo remedied,
