Captain Charles Colleyer, pilot, and Harry Tucker, owner of the plane, were killed. Ten days ago, Colleyer created an EastWest record of 24 hours 51 minutes. He was also the holder of a round the world trip in 23 days 15 hours 21 minutes completed on July 22last.
