ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
MONTHLY MEETING 01 ASSOCIATION.
The monthly meeting of the St, John Ambulance Association was held in the Association’s room on Thursday. Present • Messrs __ Alex Thomson (chairman), W. J. Ferris, W. E. B. Froggatt (lion, secretary), Mesdmnes IV. E. Goffe, B. Bcrridge, M. Keaney, E. Silverwood. A letter was received from the League.of Nations Union asking that the members of the St. John Association be present at the Armistice Day ceremony.—lt was decided that members should be asked to attend. The Ormond Motor Co. wrote giving quotations of a mutable Buick chassis for a motor ambulance.—The matter was held over. The secretary reported that two members of the Nursing Division had volunteered for duty at the Boy Scouts Camp to he held during the Christmas holidays, and that their services had been accepted by Dr YY. A. Bowie.
The chairman stated Lhat since the previous meeting donations totalling £ll had been received on behalf of the Motor Ambulance Fund, and there were still a number of promised donations to he received. The chairman also mentioned- that negotiations with the Hospital Board regarding the motor ambulance' had ended in the Hospital Board deciding that it would not join with the Association, having decided to purchase and' control its own ambulance. The secretary reported that he was making arrangements for the annual Brigade and Nursing Division re-examinations to be held at the end of November, and also that the examination of a first aid class would be held during the month.
