CONTRACT FOR NEW ATLANTIC LINER.

There are rejoicings on the Clydeside, where the winter outjook hitherto had been of the blackest, owing to the Canadian Pacific Co. placing a contract for a 40,000-ton liner with Messrs John Brown and Co. The new liner is designed to cross the Atlantic in five days;
