I Mention ol' slightly lower values I for butter in London, with a redaction iifa the rate of advances, is made in a dalilegram received by an Auckland/exporting linn.- The movement is list deemed anything to cause the j indjfstry concern, being the normal j. trmd at this time of the season and ! inf part, possibly a reflex ni' the very Ijoeral earlier advances. The mesJnge quoted blitter on the London /narket at 174 s to T7Bs, compared /vith T7os to 182 s, the very profitable mate ruling for a considerable time past. It is reported that the new position was offset by a message- received by anptn ,l merchant, quoting butter at 180- aijd steadier. An exporter, discussing the situation, said that, even if the fall in values was general, it would be no more than was generally to be expected at this time of the year. New Zealand’s production was approaching the flush and butter was arriving at Home in substantial quantities. The Remuera with a heavy cargo had reached London only a few days ago and three heavy shipments ifore due .within the next fortnight.
