CITY OF SAARBRUCKEN BONDS ISSUE OF £1J)CO,000 OVERSUBSCRIBED IN LONDON iD”it.lah Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Oct. 3r. An interesting issue of capital has been successfully floated in London. This is the issue of £1.000,000 in 6 per cent, bonds of the City of Saarbruckeu at 94 per cent. The issue has been oversubscribed. The Government of Saarbrucken. which is the capital of the Saar basin territory, is entrusted under the Versailles Treaty to a commission appointed by the Council of the League of Nations. There are no liabilities for war debts, reparation payments, or payments under tho Treaty of Versailles or the Dawes plan, ’ and the territory is subject to its own territorial taxes only.

LIVE STOCK MARKET. STORTFORD LODGE SALE. The Hawke’s Bay stockbrokers report holding their weekly sale at Stortford Lodge salevards on Wednesday, when they ottered for sale a fair yarding of cattle and a small yarding of sheep. Prices for store cattle showed an improvement, while fat cattle were slightly easier.
