LABORER FAILS.

TOLAGA BAY BANKRUPTCY

Showing no assets and with debts totalling £155 7s 6d, Edwin Gordon Marshall, laborer, of Tolaga Bay, has filled a petition in bankruptcy. In his statement to the Deputy Official Assignee (Air Chas. Blackburn), bankrupt says: “I have been employed in the Tolaga Bay district .for a* number of .years as a fencer and laborer, and until the last two years have been in regular employment. During the last two years employment has been irregular and hard to obtain. About _l2 months ago I went into' a ’fishing business With a partner, but owing to adverse weather conditions wo could not make the business _ pay, and the venture proved a failure. I have had nnlv casual employment lately, and as judgment has been obtained against me by some of my creditors, I am forced to file my petition in bankruptcy.” ' The creditors, all unsecured, are: G. 11. Lockett, £2 os : S. A, Brandon £7 19s; Hallenstein Bros., Ltd.. £l9 11s Id; R. Robertson £8 15s; N. B. Smith- (Tolaga Bav) £7 14s; P. G. Mfllloolv, £3 12s; P. V. Hickey £3 10s; ,T, R, Lincoln, £3 2s; W. H. Laing’s estate, £S 15s 9d; Oolebrook and Taylor, Ltd., £B6 11s Sd; and the Cook" Hospital Board £3 12s —total. £155.7s 6d.
