SUNK IN HARBOR.

The Numfdia, which was due to leave Marseilles for Corsica, carrying cargo and 2,50 passengers, mysteriously sank in Marseilles harbor fast night. The cargo was aboard, hut the passengers were ashore. in the, small hours of the morning r> stoker found that the' ship was filling with water. He gave the alarm, and salvagers did their utmost, but it was impossible to save the ship. No lives were lost.' The only explanation is that one of the cocks was opened, either ac‘dentally or deliberately. In view of the recent maritime strike a suspicion of foul play exists. A full inquiry has been ordered-
