PREMIER FAILS TO SEE ADVANTAGES. MONEY COULD BE BETTER EMPLOYED ELSEWHERE. (Special To The Times). TE AROHA, Oct. 31. What can the State Bank offer that it has not got already Y the Prime Minister asked at Tuakau, when dealing with the Labor advocacy of a State institution as a method or solving New Zealand s financial problems. Mr Coates pointed to tile experience of Australia, and said that the Commonwealth Bank had not been of any great help to farmers and the interest rate was the same as in New Zealand. “Inless the State Bank can give us some advantages that we do not possess already, ’ the prime Minister said, “I think the lnoiiev that would be required to establish it would be better employed in other directions.”
