Two children of Frederick Coles, of Quambatook. farmer, were burned to death while sleeping out ni an apartment adjoining the home. The mother was absent milking a cow, and the father made valiant attempts at rescue. Eventually he succeeded in finding one child, who died almost immediately. The father was dreadfully burned, bis hair being singed to the roots.
