HOME, Oct. 28. The sixth anniversary of Fascism w.aa conspicuous .by. the..absence- of. flag-waving and speechifying. Signor Mussolini sent a message: “Deeds, destined to remain for centuries as not words. Hence 2902 public works, tokens of faith, strength, and labor, are being inaugurated. They comprise 566 road works, 377 schools, £99 hydraulic works, 65 land schemes, 03 harbor works, 79 sanitary works, 371 public buildings, and 860 other undertakings.
“Simple figures give tho lie to false reports on Italy’s progress, whether at home or abroad. Behind these works lie tho brawn and smews of Italy, and the money, life and well-being of the Fascists._ Tho Italy we wish to see, hard-working, silent, and tenacious, is arising. Let us salute her, raising our flags and weapons with a cry which will cause our enemies, of whatever color or party, to tremble. WEALTHY ~MAN DISPOSSESSED OF LAND. DIDN’T PAY ATTENTION TO MANAGEMENT. United Press Assn, by El. Tol. Copyright (Australian Pren» Assn.> {Received* Oct. 29, 11 p.m.) LONDON. Oct. 29. The Times Milan correspondent states that the first case of Fascist land expropriation occurred on October 14 at Rovigo, where Mussolini dispossessed Signor Peretti because lie had not paid sufficient attention to the management of his 125,000 acres estate. The prefect of Rovigo issued a decree, handing over the management to a local Fascist syndicate. “Fascism cannot passively witness the impoverishment of an estate capable of big profit,” lie said.
