NEW H.B. SUB-CENTRE. STRONG COMMENT BY MANAWATIJ. (Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Oct. 20. At a meeting of the Manawatu sub-centre of the Wellington Centre of tliei Amateur Athletic Association, strong comment was passed on the formation of a new sub-centre in Hawke’s Bay without notification to Manawatu. and it was resolved to ask the Wellington Centre Why Manawatu was ignored when the formation of the Hawke’s Bay sub-lentre was under review; also pointing out that the latter had circulated clubs in the Manawatu district, asking them, to join it,. • A Papataua delegate said his and other clubs in southern Hawke’s Bay preferred to remain with Manawatu, as Palmerston North was closed to them than Napier. Under the new sub-centre’s boundaries Dannevirke is transferred to Hawke’s Bay, and this is strongly objected to.
