VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES, SPECIAL MATINEE TO-DAY.

A special vaudeville and picture matinee will be held at y the Majestic to-day at two o’clock, when ihe successful season of “Vulinini”, the great magician, and conjuror, and the Universal comedy “Hero for a Night” will be continued. Without doubt “Vulinini”, who made his first appearance last night, is one of the best all-round magicians, card manipulators, paper tearing experts, and adept conjurors that has visited this town. Vulinini made an instantaneous hit with everyone, and the applause throughout liis turn was spontaneous"; whilst at the conclusion of his great act Vulinini was accorded an ovation. For those who like comedy at its height, with a good plot and thrills thrown in, “A Hero For a Night,” can be recommended'. It starts with a laugh and , ends with the at r iehce hysterical. Glenn Try on, trie popular comedian who has been forging to the front so rapidly of late, plays the role of a “smart-alec, ’’ who fiys his home-made airplane >to Russia just to prove to his girl friend (Patsy Ruth Miller) how good be is. Miss Miller is charming as the heroine,’ and is ail excellent foil for Glenn’s innumerable smart cracks and farcical lovemaking. The supporting cast includes the lovable old gentleman. Butt Mclntosh, and _ a host of other well-liked' players, including Lloyd Whitlock, Bob Milash and Ruth Dwyer. In addition a classical programme of supports.
