AMATEUR: TOURNAMENT.. ■GARRISON HALL TO-NIGHT ' ' ORDER OF BOOTS. Bright and interesting boxing of very high amateur standard is promised for this, evening at t}ie Garrison Hall, when the Gisborne Boxing Association will stage an amateur v totirn a merit, commencing at 8 o'clock. Every possible • arrangement has been made for the convenience of patrons and the use of the new raised ring, especially constructed under Tom Heoney’s supervision, will ensure that every , ' spectator, even right .to the back .‘of the hall, has a' clear view of every detai] in the long programme of, bouts. An especially interesting feature of the evening will be /the appearance, for the first time locally, of numerous boxers of note from othea parts,. including Wellington, Opotiki, Wairoa and East Coast.- ' ./ ' ' . McKay, featherweight, three rounds. E. J. Scanlon v. D. P. Gay (Wairoa), flyweight, three rounds. Parkinson (Opotiki) v. A. Ansell, middleweight, four rounds. Hansen (Motu) v. Robinson, lightweight, three rounds. . . Carr v. E. King, lightweight, three rounds. M. Callaghan v. W. Dearness, featherweight, three rounds. Passe tt v. Dunn, lightweight, three rounds. Jackson (Wellington) v. Costello (Matawai), featherweight, four rounds. J. Smith v, Christophers, lightweight, three rounds. “Pansv” Wells (Opotiki) v. Mahunga Brown, heavyweight, four rounds.
