SERIOUS CHARGE.
ALLEGED SHOCKING OUTRAGE ON YOUNG WOMAN. TWO MEN ARRESTED. Onited Press Assn by El. Tel. Copyrighi (Australian Press Assn.) (Received Oct. 24, 7.40 p.m.) SYDNEY. Oct. 24. A young married woman last nightaccepted a proferred car ride with half a dozen young men. She told the poUco that when the car reached scrub land in Matraville, en route to Botany, she was dragged out of the car and criminally assaulted by all six men. Her screams attracted the notice of the police, but when they appeared her assailants decamped. Two men Jack Simpson, 23. bookmaker, and Charles Webb, 22, farrier, were arrested, charged with outraging the woman, and were remanded.
