Fifteen persons claiming to he heirs-at-law of George Engles, a Now Zealand sheen farmer,’ who died here in May, have filed a petition to revoke the probate of the will, by which Engles left his 1.000.G00 dollar New Zealand estate to’ Andrew Gray, of Auckland. BENEFICIARY AN OLD FRIEND VALUE OF ESTATE EXAGGERATED • • (Press Association.! AUCKLAND, Oct. 24. With reference to the San. Francisco cablegram, the late Mr Engels was formerly a resident in the Palmerston North district, and retired to San Francisco, where he died last May, at thedge of 87, Andrew Gray, of Grand View Road, Remuera, who the beneficiary named in his will, is an old friend of Mr Engels. _ He lias already visited San Francisco, as the executor of the will, and states that the estimate of 1,000,000 dollars, which was originated by one of the San Francisco papers, is an example of American exuberance, a? the value of the estate is not one fifth of that amount.
