Once again tlio Majestic Theatre is offering to Gisborne picturegoers a programme incomparable for its pictorial attractions. “Silk Legs,” a scintillating story of modern salesmanship, with Madge Bellamy in the leading role as Ruth Stevens, is the chief pictorial attraction. Disgusted by the failure of week’s work, Ruth Stevens, a winsome hosiery commercial traveller, is in no mood to return the flirtations glances bestowed upon her by Phil. Anxious to make an impression, Phil confesses,/that he is the world’s best hosiery salesman and that he was smart' enough to -have cancelled the orders taken by some “dumb Jane selling for. a rival concern. Ruth learns his methods and inflicts _ a crushing defeat on Phil bv flirting with the president of their largest buyers of hosiery and 1 winning the order. Madge Bellamy gives a vivid impersonation of the female drummer and is given splondid assistance by James Hall, who gives an excellent account of himself as the egotistical salesman. Others in the cast are Joseph Cawthorn and Maude Fulton, A fine supporting pictorial programme will he shown, one of tho outstanding attractions being the first photographs of the Bremen at Greenle v Island. “Ship Ahoy.’’ a very fine study, and the Fox News. A special matinee will he screened to-day at two o’clock.
