POWER BOARD WORKER INJURED. (Special to the Times.) OPOTIJU, 13. An employee of the Bay of Plenty Power Board named Ormond sustained a badly cut foot this morning whilst engaged in failing trees on the line of the route, fie was attended by Dr Budd, and sent to the Cpotiki hospital. OBITUARY. A highly respected settler of Opotiki, Air Thomas Aloodv, aged fiftyfour years, died early on Sunday morning and was buried to-day in the Opotiki cemetery, where a very large assemblage of friends gathered to show then - respect for deceased. Air Aloodv was born in Opotiki, being the youngest son of the late Air S. P. Aloodv. He was a member ol the Presbyterian Church and the Rev. D. tlird conducted the service. Having been a member of the local lodge of Oddfellows since its inception, deceased was followed to tfie graveside by a large number of members, tfie ■Oddfellows’ service being read by tlie chaplain,-tfie Rev. J. E. Draper. A very large number of beautiful floral wreaths were deposited on the grave. Air Aloodv is survived by bis widow, four gills and one boy. Air G. S. Aloodv, Mayor of Opotiki. Air J. J. Aloodv, Opotiki Count y Chairman, Air W. Aloodv, Whakatane, anti Air J. Aloodv, Taneatua. are brothers.
