TOURISTS’ INITIAL WIN

According to the original programme of the New Zealand team in England, they were due to play a practice match on May 4 at Berkhamsted. As no word of this game was cabled, it was generally presumed that it had not taken place. English papers now to hand show, however, that the match actually Was played and resulted in a win for the tourists by five wickets and 67 runs on the first innings. It was only a one-day match.
