POISONING! AT HOME DENIED
AUSTRALIAN PRECAUTIONS (Received P-™:j 6 Sir Joseph Cook, Australian Commissioner, referring to the suggestion that eight members of tne House of tods staff were poisoned by arsenic in apples, declares that, apparently, there is no • evidence that such was the case, but the sug gestion was particularly uniortunate in view of the Ferndale s arrival. He added. that the Commonwealth had arranged for specially stringen supervision and inspections to prevent arsenic in apples.—A. and N.^. C.A.
