LONDON, April 5. (Received April 6, 8 p.m.) Go vent Garden marketers are wondering why New Zealand s first fruit arrivals are, unprecedentedly, ten days ahead of the Australian. It is stated that this is due, not only T<, the lateness of the Australian season, but to the tact that the New Zealand Fruit Board arranged for the first consignment to he sent by the mail boat, thus affording growers a definite date for picking a net speedy shipment. Dealers are marvelling at the phenomenal price oi the New Zealand Cox s at private sales in the West End. Dealers doubt whether 40s to 60s per case will again he reached. 1 his price is due to the eagerness of wealthy people to obtain fresh apples, they Being tired of stale Americans from tl 0 storage.—Sun.
