The selectors, Messrs McColl and Geeves, have chosen the following team to represent the Country and Industrial Cricket Association m their match against the P.B. Cl Barry (Munwai) j Sharpies, Nicholson (Powei Board); Graham, Scholium (Hexton); Ingram (Waipaoa); ‘twelfth man Maynard, (Muriwai). Any players not available are requested to notify the selectors immediately. MEN KEEP OUT! WOMEN’S CRICKET ASSOCIATION “KEEPING UP THE GAME” . LONDON, April 4. Two hundred enthusiasts formed a Women’s Cricket Association with the object of enabling women to keep up cricket after their school years. It has. arranged 50 matches, to begin in May- If the association is a success it will assume the same powers as the Marylebone Club. Men will have nothing to do with the association. Even the umpires and scorers will be women. Supporters say that many women are bowling overarm and mastering the secrets of the spin and break.—A. and N.Z.O.A.
N.Z. XI. AT RARATONGA
TOURISTS ENTERTAINED
WELLINGTON, April 5. The Tainui with the New Zealand cricket team aboard arrived at Raratonga on Saturday. All are in good health ,and excellent spirits. They were entertained at luncheon, a motor drive and at afternoon tea, and played a'practice mtch against a Raratongan team.—P;A.
