CAN BARRY COME BACK? MATCH WITH GOODSELL LONDON, April 4. Ernest Barry (England) and Major Goodsell (Australia) have definitely agreed 1 to a match at Oakland estuary on June 20 for the world s championship. The newspaper, the London Sportsman, is financing Barry’s trip. (The announcement of the match gives rise to the question whether Barry can come back. Ernest Barry first became world’s sculling champion in 1912, when he defeated R. Arnst, and held the honor until 1914, defeating Ei. Durnan, H. Pearce and J. Paddon successively but m 1919 he lost the title to A. Felton, but reannexed 1 the honor the Ah year and retired. Major Goodsell, the Australian, won the title from J. P. Hannan in 1825, and. has staved off two contenders, J. Paddon and Tom Saul.)
