Entries generally were small at the Addington stock market to-day. The store sheep entry filled less than three races, and consisted mostly of ' ewes and and wethers. The bulk of the ewes and lambs were of plain quality, but any fair sorts met with a keen demand at prices one shilling a head in advance of late rates. Aged ewes with lambs made 35s 3d to 17s 9d; fair aged ewes, with lambs 13s 5.d to 14s; inferior aged ewes and lambs 9s 6d to 10,s 7d; good conditioned shorn ewes and lambs 12s 3d; aged dry lialfbred ewes 9s 4d; 4, 6 and 8-tb shorn wethers 22s to 24s 6d; inferior 4 and 6-th wethers quarter bred 4-th wethers 32s lOd; shorn 2-tli wethers 38s 5d to 21s Id; woollv three-quarter bred ewe hoggets 33s Gd; woolly three-quarter bred crossbred hoggets 32s 6d; inferior woolly half bred hoggets 25s 6d. Fat lambs. —The entry. consisted of 670 head, compared with 880 last week.. The market opened with prices showing a rise for good sorts, 'and although the demand cased towards the end, the sale was better than the previous one. Values were: Extra prime heavy lambs 30s to 32s lOd; prime lambs 27s Gd to 29s 6d; medium lambs 24s -Od to 275; light lambs 20s to 23s 6d. Eat sheep.—The entr.es totalled 8A races against 10 last week, and 14 two weeks ago. In the latter stages of the saletlie market brightened up, and butchers had to pay higher figures for plainer wethers than at the beginning. Values were generally fair and a shade lighter than last week’s. Extra prime shorn wethers to .34s 7d; prime wethers 27s 6cl to 31s 3d; medium wethers 26s to 27s 3d; light wethers 22s to 25s 6d; extra prime shorn ewes to 29s lOd ; prime ewes 23s to 26s ; medium ewes 20s to 22s 6d; prime woolly wethers to 44s 4d: medium woolly wethers 33s to 35s 6d; prime woolly ewes 28s 6d to 32s lid; medium woolly ewes 25s 6d to 27s 9d. Fat cattle.—ln the fat cattle pens the yarding totalled 550 head, compared with 559 last week. Cows form-' ed a considerable portion of the yarding, but the proportion of good cows was rather larger than is usually the case. Recently the market has been over supplied, and this was the case again, with the result that butchers were not inclined to go to the rates ruling a week ago for cattle. Rough heavy bullocks were lower by £1 a head in some parts of the sale. Best quality steer beef made from 34,s 6d to 37s 6d per 1001 b., heavy prime 31s to 32s Gd ; medium quality 29s to 31s; best lieifer 31s to oßs 6d : best cow 30s to 335; inferior 25s to 27s 6d. Extra heavy steers made to £l6 7s 6d; prime £l4 to £ls; prime medium weight £l2 15s to £l3 15s; medium Quality steers £lO 7s 6d to £l2 10s; light steers £8 to £9 17s 6d; extra prime heifers to £l6 7s 6d; prime £6 15s to £9 10s ; light £5 5s to £6 7s 6d; extra heavy cows to £l2 2s Gd; prime £9 to £l9 15s; medium £6 10s to £8 15s; light £4 5s to £6. Vealers.—The entry was smaller than for n long time, and the quality was poor. Medium runners made £6 to £7 ; good calves £5 os to £5 los: medium calves £4 to £5: small calves los to 30s. Store cattle.—The entry was small, and consisted mostly of cows. Good fresh cows made to £5 ; medium cows £3 to £4: inferior cows 60s to £2 10s: 3 and 4-yenr-old steers £7 los; yearling steers and heiftrs <34s. Dairy cattle.—The entry comprised 45 head compared with 65 last week. The demand was limited, and the sale dull throughout. Best second, third and fourth calvers made £S to £lO 10s; medium sorts £3 to £4 10s: springing heifers £4 to £7 los; old cows in profit £3 to £4 ss.

Fat pigs.—A medium entry «met with an irregnlar demand, but the prices generally were somewhat better than last week. Choppers made £4 to £7; light baconers £3 12s to £4; heavy baconers £4 10s to £5; extra heavy baconers to £5 os—average price per lb. 6-fd to 71 d; light porkers 46s to 545; heavy porkers 60s to 69s—average price per lb. Bcl to 9d.

Store pigs.—Values showed a reduction of about 5s on late rates. Weaners - made' 15s to 20s ; better sorts to 265; small stores 2Ss to 335; medium stores 35s to 40s; large stores to 51s ;sows £3 15s to £4. — B.A.

WESTFIELD YARDS. AUCKLAND, Dec., 1. At the Westfield sale there was a fair yarding of beef, last week’s values being sustained for all classes. A consignment of well-finished bullocks topped the market, selling up to £l4 and another consignment sold at £l2 10s to £l3 10s. Extra choice ox sold at 32s per 1001 b. ; choice and prime 28s to 31s ; just killable 25s to 27s ; prime young cow and heifer beef 28s; just killable 20s to 265. Sheep.—There was an average yarding, values being firmer for all classes. Extra heavy prime wethers (shorn) made 27s 6df heavy prime 24s to 25s 3d; medium 22s to 23s 6d; light and unfinished 16s to ISs ; heavy prime ewes 2ls 6d; lighter 16s to 18s ; other owes 13,s to los. Lambs.—There was a fair yarding., prices being very firm. Heavy prime lamb made 24s to 255; medium ISs to 22s 6d; light 14s to 17s 6d.

Calves.—/There was an average yarding, prices being slightly better. Runners made £3 16s to £5; heavy vealers £2 10s to £4 10s; medium £3 2s to £3 10s; light £2 12s to £2 18s. Pigs.—A fair yarding saw little or no change in values. Choppers made £3 to £4 ss; heavy baconers £3 16s to £4; medium baconers £3 12s to £3 15s ; light baconers £3 2_s to £3 8s; heavy porkers £3; medium porkers £2 l4s to £2 17s; light porkers £2 6s to £2 10s.—P.A.
