The “Daily Nows” states that five dock foreman, charged in connection with the £30,000 conspiracy case at Liverpool have been acquitted. The case concerns the alleged illegal disposal of palpi kernels belonging to a shipping company. A father and son named Smith are beinc tried on a similar charge. The son, after collapsing in the box. recovered sufficiently to be examined. Captain Large was foundv.cfead the previous day on a railway line. He left a letter indicating that he intended taking his life, and making certain admissions, of having done un scrupulous things.”
