KNOCKED' DOWN BY MOTOR

DEATH OF REV. G. ALDRIDGE

AUCKLAND, Oct. 13. Rev. George Aldridge, 72, pastor of the West Street Church of Christ, was knocked down by a motor carlast evening, after stepping from the footpath. He sustained severe injuries to Ids head, and died in hospital an hour later.

He was a very well-known pastor of the Church of Christ. After ministering for two years in the Waikato lie was appointed to the West Street Church in 1884.—P A-
