ADVICE FROM"BOROUGH VALUER, The conference between arbitrators for the sale and purchase of the municipal electric light and power plant by the Power Board concluded last week in ■Gisborne, and it is understood the discussion resulted in an amicable settlement. In a letter received by the Borough 'Council last evening,Mr. A. C. Clarke, the Borough Council’s arbitrator, advised that he had received the Government valuation of the piece of land to be taken over by the Power Board, set' down at £1525. The award is now being drafted and I shall hope to forward you the same in the course of thisiweek.”
