A SUCCESSFUL MEETING

The To Reinga sports, which were held under beautiful weather conditions on the Ruakituri station on Boxing Day, attracted a large attendance of visitors from all parts of the district, and the large programme of events, consisting almost entirely or horse competitions, held much interest for the spectators. The entries in all classes were exceptionally numerous. and on account of the uniformly high standard of the competing horses the events were keenly contested throughout, and although there was some delay at times through the dilatoriness of the competitors, the committee and stewards worked assiduously during the any to make the gathering the success :t nos. The judge, Mr. H. deLautour, of To Poke l’oko. assisted by Mr. Cf. Kirk, gave every satisfaction in carrying out his arduous duties. The results ate as foliev,s:—
