The Daily Telegraph, reviewing the New Zea’and cricket team, says New Zealand conditions are similar to English’, and the visitors will probably take some t’me to ..accustom »thejEselvof. to Australia’s fast and. fiery wickets. The Dominion possesses? some good batsmen, but the bowling department is. lamentably weak. There are very few first-class j trundlers and on Australian pitches tliey will find their task much harder. With tho English trip ahead the States in competition for the Sheffield sh'eld wi 1 field their strongest teams consequently the New Zealanders are up against a stiff proposition.—i U.P.A.
