OPENING OF TRACK SEASON
The official opening of the track season will take place at the Childers Road Reserve.on Monday, November 2, at 5 p m., when the Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club will hold a 75yds Handicap and a 1 Mile Cycle Handicap' Prospects' for the coming season are particularly bright and it is anticipated that a record season will result. Especially is it certain that the running section, of the local Club will be very strong, and the number of new runners to be seen at the Reserve is an indication that large fields will contest the various events. Competitors are requested to note that entries close with Mr. W. Ingram, Bright Street, on Friday, October 30th, at 5 p.m. Official numbers for the season are also obtainable andean be secured on application.
