TOWERS REMANDED ON MURDER. CHARGE. LONDON, Oct. 23.. The first officer, Towers, was charged at Southampton with the murder of Capt. Olewes. He was remanded for a week. Accused is aged 56, and is a native of Bristol.—Reuter. LONDON, Oct. 24. The inquest on the body of Capt. Clews after formal evidence was adjourned for a week. The surgeon of the Melita said the captain was shot while asleep.— Reuter.
