POWER BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING.
The monthly meeting oi' the Poverty Bay Power Board was held on Saturday, when there were present: Messrs F. R. Bp.ll (chairman). B. o. Ho'dsworth. T. C-orson, C. H. William*;. T. Todd, C. H. Bright. I. Mirfield and F. S. Bowen.
A letter was received from the Un-der-Secretary of Internal Affairs stating that the Minister had approved of the Board’s overdraft Jim t of £2,.500. —The letter was received. Applications were received from Messrs W. J. MeCliskie and J. Campoell seeking permission to erect private telephone lines, and promising to remove them when requ red.— The applications were granted on the usual eond’tions. The Waikoliu County Council wrote ndvis’ng that steps had keen taken to collect the Power Board’s rate. — The letter was received. A letter was received from the Government- Statistician asking for - stat stieal information in regard to. the Board’s operations.—'The chairman stated that the information requireu related to loans only, but as none liaa hoen raised hv the Board it was decided to adv’se the Government Statistician to this effect. any wrote suggesting that- offices in their buddings might be suitable for the Board’s requirements, and asking consideration of a proposal to convert the front portron into showrooms.—lt was decided to defer the matter meantime.
