LONDON TALLOW SALES. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their head office, London, dated July 29: “The tallow sales were disappointing. 112.5 casks were offered and 300 said. Prices are unchanged except for fine mutton tallow, \i Inch is 6d" higher." CHEAPER EGGS. The price of eggs has been considerably reduced during th's week in Gisborne. Eggs were being retai.ed at 2/9 per dozen the previous week, and have now been reduced to 2/3 a doz. REDUCTION IN SUGAR PRICES. The reduction of 10/- per ton in the price of sugar is expected to be reflected in the retail price of that commodity, and will mean a probab.e reduction in the retail price of per lb., the retail cost to the publ'e ut the present time being 3ld per lb.
