A request that the Government should' set up a commission to investigate the question of prices and wages generally was made to the Prime M'U-ist-er to-dav by a deputation from the Affiance of Labor. Mr. Coates replied that he would refer the evidence submitted to the Arbitration Court, and if the Court considered a commission might lie ot value the Government would consider the question.
