Lnngla.nr's, Lewis and Arkle had said that they wou’d not he able to get away. A team had been selected hut lie quite expected that some of them would <: pul! out” before Saturday. They hi d ashed several men to go but 1 hey had refused. A se’eetor’s job in Poverty Bay, said Mr. O’Neill, is net an enviable one. The selectors had gone through all the teams but it had been most difficult to arrange a fi t -cn.
