GO VERNMENT THOUGHT BIOL bit WOULD REJECT PROPOSAL
OTTAWA, June 9.
In the House of Commons, the Premier (Air Mackenzie King) declared that the Dominion Government never questioned the fact that when the Lausanne Treaty was ratified it was binding 011 Canada, m.t the reason the Government did not bring down the treaty for approval in the House was because the Government would approve it. The Government did not believe Parliament would approve it. The Government was required to take responsibility for submitting to Parliament what it thought should be submitted and for withholding what should bo withheld.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
