PRESIDENT’S NARROW ESCAPE.

TOKIO, May 8. Late last night a train in which President Takahashi Seiyukai was proceeding to Tokio from Aomori was derailed near Sendai. Four persons were killed and sevenal injured. Takahasi and party were uninjured. , The accident was due to a misplaced switch, causing the train to, collide with a freight train.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
