FARAIER IN CRITICAL CONDITION.

SYDNEY, Alay 8. Frederick Stephen Wells, a farmer, was admitted to Goulburn hospital in a critical condition, suffering from injuries to his head, alleged to have been inflicted by a tomahawk and iron bar. Details arc meagre. A mail named Clement Robert Larkham, aged 23, and a girl, .Mercy Hockley, aged 16, have been arrested in connection with the affair and charged with assaulting Wells.
